The Role
As a Private Client Solicitor in our firm, you will be a crucial part of our team, managing a diverse caseload and providing high-quality legal advice in all aspects of private client law.
You will manage a varied and interesting caseload including
- Wills
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Probate and estate administration
- Trusts
- Estate and succession planning
- Court of Protection matters (if applicable)
- Inheritance Tax planning
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a comprehensive caseload of private client matters with minimal supervision.
- Providing expert legal advice on wills, probate, trusts, powers of attorney and deputyships.
- Drafting legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, offering empathetic and personalised advice.
- Working collaboratively with team members to contribute to the department’s goals and targets.
- Keeping abreast of changes in legislation and best practices in private client law.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor in the UK.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a full caseload of private client matters.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear and compassionate advice to clients.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of client care and service.
- Membership in the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) would be advantageous but is not essential.
