Manaba are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and experienced candidates who wish to work as Learning Support Assistants in local mainstream and SEND schools with pupils aged 2-19 years. You will join our wonderful supply team here at Manaba and work in a selection of schools across Portsmouth and the local surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Understanding the individual learning and/or medical needs of the pupils
- Work in schools (both mainstream and SEN) to support children aged 2-19 years with their learning and development needs
- Positive and calm under pressure
- Ability to demonstrate that you are trustworthy and ethical, with a supportive nature
- Help with schoolwork under the supervision of the teacher
- Help to prepare learning materials and help children understand instructions
- Carry out a child's care plan under the guidance of the teacher
- Encourage children to communicate and support them during social activities
