Manaba are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and experienced candidates who wish to work as Learning Support Assistants in both mainstream and SEND schools. You will join our growing supply team here at Manaba and work in a selection of wonderful schools across Portsmouth, Havant, Waterlooville and the local surrounding areas.
Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant:
- Understanding to the individual learning and/or medical needs of the pupils
- Positive and calm under pressure
- Ability to demonstrate that you are trustworthy and ethical, with a supportive nature
- Help with schoolwork under the supervision of the teacher
- Help to prepare learning materials and help children understand instructions
- Carry out a child's care plan under the guidance of the teacher
- Encourage children to communicate and support them during social activities
