HOURS OF WORK: 30-32 hours a week (4 days - 9-5pm, flexible working times)

The COMPANY: Our client is a medical practice with over 24,000 patients and 100 staff. They are currently looking for an experienced Medical Secretary to cover work immediately for THREE MONTHS.

The ROLE: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join the healthcare team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to medical professionals.
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments and follow-ups.
  • Answer and route telephone calls, take messages, and respond to enquiries.
  • Prepare and maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Transcribe medical notes and update electronic health records.
  • Order and maintain office and medical supplies.
  • Ensure compliance.

THE CANDIDATE: Our client is looking for a strong Medical Secretary with the following experience and attributes:

  • Previous experience of working as a Medical Secretary.
  • Experience of ESR or System 1 preferred although not essential.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
