Mana Education are urgently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants for a growing number of opportunities across specialist schools and SEND provisions in Nottingham and the surrounding areas.
We are looking for caring, patient and dedicated individuals to support children and young people with a wide range of additional needs across both primary and secondary age groups.
Whether you are looking for flexible day-to-day supply work, long-term placements or permanent SEN support positions, we would love to hear from you.
SEN Teaching Assistant Roles Include:
- SEN Teaching Assistant
- SEND Teaching Assistant
- SEMH Teaching Assistant
- ASC Teaching Assistant
- SLD Teaching Assistant
- 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
- Primary SEN TA
- Secondary SEN TA
We Welcome Experience In:
- SEMH
- Trauma-Informed Practice
- Complex Medical Needs
- ADHD & Emotional Regulation
We also welcome candidates with backgrounds in:
- Care work
- Nursery work
- Support work and community care
The Role
Assignments are available across a variety of specialist schools and provisions including:
- Permanent SEN Teaching Assistant positions
You may work:
- 1:1 with pupils
- Assisting pupils with communication, emotional regulation and independence

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Relevant experience supporting children or young people OR relevant experience in UK schools
- A calm, patient and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
Teaching Assistant qualifications are beneficial but not essential for all positions.
