Our client is a well established Global manufacturer of power generation/combustion equipment primarily for the petrochemical/oil & gas industry.

Their market leading comprehensive product range includes thermal oxidizers, burners, flare systems and pollution control equipment.

The ROLE

Due to continued growth an opportunity has arisen for a strategically important Senior Health & Safety Engineer (Construction) to assume responsibility for H&S of multimillion dollar construction projects , from initiation to completion within EMEA region

This role requires a flexible and dynamic individual with considerable travelling involved, it is estimated that a third your time will be spent on site, the remainder in the office;

Key responsibilities

  • Health and Safety policies and procedures in line with local and international regulations (e. g., OSHA, HSE regulations).
  • Develop and maintain standard documentation packs, templates and process maps
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections
  • Track and monitor engineer safety documents and qualifications
  • Ensure all individuals are vetted prior to mobilisation to a work site - including sub-contractors
  • Implement and track the calibration and certification of critical equipment
  • Organise and deliver HSE training
  • The CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will be a talented professional with considerable experience within a similar commercial/EPC environment. Some of the experience you will possess includes;

  • Experience in HSE co-ordination/management
  • Knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices(e. g., NEBOSH, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
  • Experience with HSE audits, risk assessments, and incident investigation
  • Relevant academic background .
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Hands-on Health and Safety culture, leading from the front both at construction sites and in the office.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel
  • Happy to work in the office when not on site
  • SALARY -Dependent on experience
