The ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Controls/Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer with experience of working with Siemens S7 PLCs to join a successful & expanding organisation. Due to continued planned growth they now require an additional controls engineer. The main purpose of this position will be to programme Siemens 7 PLCs. The scope of this role will also include:
- Designing & programming PLC software
- Review project file and confirm Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls scope
- Development of the P&IDs
- Preparation of Instrument Data, Electrical drives (VSD) and MCC data sheets
- Review of the vendor quote
- Production of wiring schematics and connection diagrams
- Preparation of BOMs
- Prepare the PLC /DCS I/O lists
The PERSON
The right candidate will be an intelligent and dynamic individual who wants to develop their career further within this progressive organisation:
- Experience of programming Siemens 7 PLCs
- Well educated in a relevant discipline (Instrumentation /Electrical/ Electronic Engineering)
- Experienced in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering
- Controls knowledge
- Competent in LV electrical circuit design and panel design
- Conversant with P&IDs
- AutoCAD
