The ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Controls/Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer with experience of working with Siemens S7 PLCs to join a successful & expanding organisation. Due to continued planned growth they now require an additional controls engineer. The main purpose of this position will be to programme Siemens 7 PLCs. The scope of this role will also include:

  • Designing & programming PLC software
  • Review project file and confirm Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls scope
  • Development of the P&IDs
  • Preparation of Instrument Data, Electrical drives (VSD) and MCC data sheets
  • Review of the vendor quote
  • Production of wiring schematics and connection diagrams
  • Preparation of BOMs
  • Prepare the PLC /DCS I/O lists

The right candidate will be an intelligent and dynamic individual who wants to develop their career further within this progressive organisation:

  • Experience of programming Siemens 7 PLCs
  • Well educated in a relevant discipline (Instrumentation /Electrical/ Electronic Engineering)
  • Experienced in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering
  • Controls knowledge
  • Competent in LV electrical circuit design and panel design
  • Conversant with P&IDs
  • AutoCAD
