SEN Teachers
We welcome qualified teachers, ECTs and applicants with relevant UK school teaching experience, subject to each role's qualification requirements. Mainstream teachers with SEND experience are also encouraged to apply. Roles may span EYFS, KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4 and post-16, including subject teaching, functional skills, life skills and personalised learning.
Responsibilities may include:
- Adapting lessons to pupils' learning, communication and sensory needs
- Creating a positive, structured classroom environment
- Working with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and other professionals
- Supporting EHCP outcomes and monitoring progress
- Planning, marking and assessment where required
SEN Teaching Assistants
We welcome experienced SEN TAs, Learning Support Assistants and applicants with relevant experience in education, care, youth work or disability support. A TA qualification is welcome, but relevant experience may also be suitable.
You may support pupils individually, in small groups or within a classroom, helping them to:
- Access learning under the teacher's direction
- Develop communication, confidence and independence
- Manage emotions and build positive relationships
- Participate in lessons and develop social skills
You'll work closely with teachers and share observations about pupils' progress. Some roles include personal care or mobility support; requirements and relevant training will be discussed before placement.
