We are seeking dedicated SEN and SEND Teachers and Teaching Assistants to work in various schools across Peterborough. Responsibilities

  • Supporting students with a range of special educational needs, including autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, sensory impairments, and emotional and behavioural challenges.
  • Delivering tailored lessons and interventions that cater to individual learning needs.
  • Assisting with the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and working closely with SENCOs, parents, and external professionals.
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to ensure pupil progress and well-being.
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) / Newly Qualified Teacher (ECT/NQT) / Unqualified with relevant experience.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools.
  • CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
  • A relevant degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field.
  • NASENCO qualification (for SENCO roles).
  • Team Teach, Makaton, PECS, or Autism Awareness training (desirable).

Previous experience working with children with SEN or SEND is essential.
