Are you an experienced school leader who can provide clear direction, support staff and maintain continuity for pupils? Mana Education is recruiting an Executive Headteacher on behalf of one of our school clients in Lincoln. This interim opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful contribution during a period of leadership absence. The position is available as soon as possible and is expected to be ongoing. There is currently no specific end date, with the duration dependent on the school's requirements.
The opportunity:
- We are looking for a confident, approachable leader who can quickly build relationships, understand existing priorities and provide stability.
- You will balance strategic leadership with practical support, keeping pupils' education, safety and wellbeing at the centre of decisions.
- The remit will be discussed with suitable applicants and is expected to include:
- Providing strategic direction and continuity of leadership.
- Supporting senior leaders and staff to maintain high expectations for teaching, learning and behaviour.
- Keeping safeguarding, inclusion and pupil wellbeing central to school practice.
- Maintaining progress against school improvement priorities.
- Working closely with the relevant governance team to review priorities and communicate progress.
- Building positive relationships with staff, pupils, families and other stakeholders.
- Overseeing operational priorities within the agreed remit.
Who we are looking for:
We welcome enquiries from experienced Executive Headteachers, Headteachers and Principals, including leaders with a background in interim appointments.
You should bring:
- A successful track record of senior leadership in UK schools.
- Experience of leading improvement while supporting and developing staff.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and school leadership responsibilities.
- Sound judgement and the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Clear communication and a calm, collaborative leadership style.
- The ability to establish credibility quickly and lead sensitively through a period of change.
- Previous executive leadership or responsibility across more than one school would be valuable.
Pay and assignment details:
Pay will be to leadership pay scale, with the applicable point and payment arrangements confirmed before you accept the assignment. Ginny will explain the school context, leadership remit, working arrangements and recruitment process so you can assess whether the opportunity is right for you.
