Mana Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic and skilled Design Technology Teachers for a range of exciting opportunities across secondary schools in Leicester and the surrounding areas.

The Role

You will be delivering engaging and practical Design Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4, with some opportunities extending into KS5 depending on experience and school requirements. Assignments vary from flexible short-term cover to full teaching responsibilities including planning, marking and assessment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering engaging and inspiring DT lessons
  • Teaching practical and theory-based Design Technology subjects
  • Encouraging creativity, innovation and problem-solving skills
  • Maintaining excellent classroom behaviour and workshop safety
  • Planning and preparing lessons for long-term assignments
  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress
  • Supporting students of varying abilities and learning needs

  • QTS or relevant UK teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Design Technology in UK secondary schools
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
