Have you worked in a busy team before? Do you have experience of delivering and collecting customer vehicles?
We are looking for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team in Preston on a full-time basis for a six-month fixed term.
In this role, you will be managing deliveries and liaising with customers, ensuring you are updating and assisting with any queries all while complying with set targets.
Your main area of responsibility will include but not limited to:
- To take direction from the Branch Manager/Workshop/Parts Controller/Sales Manager
- To clean, valet and prepare new and used vehicles to a high standard
- To operate the steam cleaner and keep working areas clean and tidy
- To manage stock of supplies for the purpose of valeting commercial vehicles
- To present and maintain vehicle line up for display standards
- To take and present vehicles for MOT
- To assist with general housekeeping and maintenance of the workshop
- To collect and deliver customers vehicles in an efficient and courteous manner
In order to perform this role effectively, you will ideally have previous experience in a similar role and therefore have a good attention to detail with excellent customer focus. You will need a βcan doβ attitude and be able to work on your own initiative or as part of a team even taking ownership of any issues relating to that department would be key β a Class 1 license is a must.
