About the Programme

Our Technology Graduate Programme invites you to explore three teams working with Python, Java or C++ over a two-year period. You will tackle impactful projects, receive formal training, gain mentorship from senior leaders and develop a thorough understanding of our business. Upon successful completion of the programme, you’ll be well-positioned to build a long-term career at Man Group. Placements will have the chance to enhance our quantitative investment platform, integrate new datasets, extend our execution and order management systems, and contribute to our core technology platform.

Who are we looking for?

Join us as an Associate Engineer and you will be part of a team that builds and runs the platform powering Man's hedge funds.

Key skills & experiences:

  • Experience working with any of the following programming or scripting languages: Python / Java / C++
  • Your technical experience may have been gained through open-source maintenance, 2+ years of relevant industry experience, or as a recent graduate or currently studying for a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related discipline
  • Understanding of how source control and continuous deployment workflows work with tools like git
  • Self-organised with the ability to prioritise and effectively manage time across multiple projects
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills
  • Self-starter with a desire to learn and understand more about the business environment in which you work
