The Role

The Finance Business Partnering (FBP) team sits at the heart of Finance, working directly with senior business unit leaders, ExCo, and the Board to deliver high-quality financial insight, reporting, and challenge. The team plays a critical role in driving informed decision-making across the firm. As a Manager within the FBP team, you will take ownership of a portfolio of Business Units, acting as a trusted financial adviser to senior stakeholders. This is a high-visibility role offering genuine exposure to the firm's leadership and the opportunity to shape how finance supports and influences the business.

Your Responsibilities

  • Partnering and developing strong relationships with key senior stakeholders within assigned Business Units and across Finance, including direct engagement with ExCo-level business leaders to provide financial insight and challenge.
  • Delivering monthly Direct Contribution reporting to Investment Management teams, covering revenue, AUM, margins, seed capital and associated costs, providing insight and commentary to support performance oversight and decision-making.
  • Leading monthly meetings with business managers to review financials, provide positive challenge and understand the BU’s operations and cost drivers.
  • Providing timely, relevant and informative management information and analysis to assigned BUs, including commentary and variance analysis.
  • Leading the budgeting and forecasting processes for assigned Business Units, coordinating inputs from business managers, challenging assumptions, and delivering consolidated outputs to the CFO.
  • Driving the month end close process ensuring the timely delivery of accurate management information on a consolidated and BU level, including monthly cost accrual postings and ledger review.
  • Supporting monthly cost analysis and commentary provided to the Group Reporting Team and CFO.
  • Supporting the year-end close process, including liaison with the Group Reporting and external audit teams to provide relevant management accounts analysis and commentary.
  • Performing ad hoc analysis for the business as required.
  • Driving strategic and operational improvements across the FBP function, including leading initiatives to enhance management information quality, automate reporting processes, leverage AI tools, and develop finance systems and tooling including Power BI.
  • Managing and developing direct reports, including setting clear objectives, conducting performance reviews, supporting career development, managing day-to-day workload prioritisation, and contributing to recruitment and onboarding as required.
  • Provide cover and support to the Head of Finance Business Partnering as needed.

Your Background / Experience

  • Qualified in a relevant accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2-3 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in a finance business partnering or FP&A role.
  • Prior experience in asset management or financial services strongly preferred.
  • Power BI experience beneficial.
  • Ability to develop trusted relationships at all levels with business and finance stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills essential.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with desire and ability to learn new systems.
  • Familiarity with ERP or financial planning systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP, Workday Adaptive).
