Purpose of the Role
As a Business Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the financial and business planning of the Technology Department. Core competencies of the role include analysis and reporting, budget planning, project prioritisation, relationship management and supporting the operational and strategic management of Technology.
The Team
The Business Management team comprises a small number of individuals responsible for the operational management of the department, supervision of the budget, delivery of internal and external communications and events, and implementing strategic department-wide initiatives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you’ll translate ideas into reality, drive key initiatives, and make a tangible impact across the Technology department.
Specific Responsibilities
- Conduct financial analysis and modelling to support decision-making within the department.
- Identify trends and offer valuable insights to provide recommendations for cost optimisation and enhanced efficiencies.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to maintain detailed BAU and project trackers. Provide accurate and live reporting to senior management/CTO.
- Facilitate the project prioritisation process considering financial implications and business objectives.
- Support the annual budgeting process for the department.
- Represent our requirements when collaborating with central Finance and Commercial Management teams and complying with audit requirements.
Key Skills & Experience
- Minimum part qualified in one of the following qualifications ACA, CIMA, ACCA (we can offer study support to complete the qualification).
- Experience working in Technology, professional services, or similarly project-intensive environments (preferable, not essential).
- Analytical skills with high level of attention to detail.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in management accounting and reporting/analytics.
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
- Strong work ethic, self-starter with ability to multi-task.
