This role sits in the Distribution Compliance team and is responsible for leading compliance oversight of the firm's marketing communications and supporting advisory work relating to the sale and marketing of financial products and services on a cross-border basis.
Responsibilities:- Take a leading role in coordinating the review of marketing communications across all channels and product types for global distribution, working with US and regional Compliance Officers where necessary.
- Manage, motivate and develop less experienced Marketing Compliance Officers (two direct reports).
- Take a leading role in the identification, analysis, implementation and monitoring of regulatory initiatives relevant to marketing communications.
- Maintain and develop policies, procedures and guidance to ensure the firm has the necessary tools to produce compliant marketing materials.
- Develop relationships and provide necessary training to all teams involved in the production and dissemination of marketing communications.
- Provide regulatory advice to the business on the content of Key Information Documents (KIDs).
- Be a key point of contact for the global website team (including responsibility for managing product and user type visibility globally).
- Be a key point of contact for the Global Communications team, including reviewing all corporate and product press releases.
- Work closely with the US Compliance team on pre-approval of materials intended for a Rest of World ("RoW") and US audience and generally to agree systems and controls between the US and RoW Compliance team.
- Proven experience of regulatory requirements relating to the marketing and sale of investment products and services.
- Good understanding of financial products and global regulation relating to financial services.
- Knowledge and familiarity with Outlook, Word, Excel and common financial industry systems.
- Ability to operate at all levels within the Firm and wider industry groups.
- Self-motivated and strong organisational skills.
- Effective communicator with pragmatic and solutions-oriented mindset.
