Friendly, freshly decorated local pub that attracts customers through freshly cooked food and local ingredients. Are you a passionate chef who takes pride in creating exceptional food from fresh ingredients? We are seeking a talented Live-In Chef to join our team and deliver delicious, high-quality dishes made entirely from scratch. This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who loves working with fresh produce, seasonal ingredients, and traditional cooking methods while having the freedom to showcase creativity and flair in the kitchen. Happy for this to be a couples team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
- Create seasonal menus and daily specials
- Produce sauces, stocks, soups, desserts from scratch
- Ensure all food is presented to a consistently high standard
- Manage food ordering, stock levels and supplier relationships
- Monitor food costs and minimise waste
- Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety
- Cater for dietary requirements and special requests
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised and operating efficiently
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef, Sous Chef or Head Chef
- A genuine passion for cooking from scratch
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene regulations and HACCP procedures
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy kitchen
- Creative approach to menu planning and food presentation
- Reliable, flexible and committed to delivering outstanding food
