SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Tender Specialist for Heavylift and Transport Projects. Working from the Mammoet office in Thornaby, Teesside with UK travel occasionally required. As a Tender Specialist at Mammoet, your main responsibility will be to support the Sales team with a complete suite of technical expertise including the production of professional, high-quality estimates, proposals, and bidding documents in order to assist Mammoet in achieving generated business. Reporting to our Lead Tenderer, this is a full-time, permanent position to be based at our Teesside office. There will be a requirement to attend and travel to other offices throughout the UK, in particular our Hixon, Staffordshire office. You will also attend meetings with customers in the UK with Commercial Managers.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Tendering: Work with Commercial Managers to prepare proposal documents/tenders for projects in accordance with fixed timescales.
  • Contract Management: In conjunction with Sales and the Contract Manager, ensure contracts are in line with all required and relevant terms and conditions.
  • Risk Management: Identify and analyse any quotation risks that may affect the business.
  • Analysing: Provide consistency across multiple customer estimates ensuring adequate estimation of customer requirements and solutions meeting legal, financial and safety risks.
  • Administration: Document and coordinate data relating to quotations and customer requirements in line with internal standards.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Educated to degree level, preferably in a technical related discipline.
  • Strong level of English both verbal and written.
  • Proven ICT ability e.g. able to use Microsoft Office to a high standard.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel to projects throughout the UK at short notice.
