Summary Of The Role
Student Engineer - Heavy Lift and Transport Operations
Commencing September 2026 until August 2027
Starting salary of £25,750 per year and industry leading development plan
Working on site at the Mammoet office in Thornaby, Teesside
Are you looking for an internship where you help solve even the most challenging of problems? At Mammoet we set the bar high in developing the safest, most efficient solutions for our customer’s needs. With the team’s experience, we know how to use our transport equipment to create the best solution for any type of transport or load-out project. During this placement you will get the opportunity to see different engineering work fields and different engineering sub-departments within Mammoet, while putting your school-learned theory into practice.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Support the projects from the tendering and sales phase to the execution part
- Make the necessary plans/calculation using various software packages like AutoCAD and in-house developed software
- Look for creative solutions using existing equipment
- When needed, attending project location to provide on-site engineering support
- Thesis/ graduation placement is also possible
What You’ll Need:
- Engaged in a bachelor or master’s study in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a similar Engineering discipline
- Computer skills including CAD and Microsoft Office
- English, fluent proficiency verbal and written
- Full right to work in the UK
- Driving licence preferred but not essential
