Mammoet UK is seeking a dynamic Procurement Manager! In this role, you will lead regional purchasing and sourcing strategies aligned with our global procurement manual, maximizing buying power for savings and value. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, this is a full-time, permanent position based at the Mammoet UK office in Thornaby. Summary of the Role

Mammoet UK is looking for a proactive Procurement Manager! This role involves leading regional purchasing and sourcing strategies, ensuring alignment with global standards, and maximizing procurement efficiency. You will report directly to the Operations Director and work at our Thornaby office. Travel across the UK and internationally will be part of your responsibilities.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop, manage, and realize the regional procurement and sourcing plan in line with the Global Procurement Manager.
  • Negotiate with suppliers, approve, prepare proposals, and close contracts to meet business needs.
  • Ensure quality of supply through supplier selection, contract management, and performance monitoring.
  • Report on procurement performance across regions, countries, and projects.
  • Manage and improve administrative activities and systems.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and growth.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in civil engineering, construction, renewables, oil and gas, offshore, ports, or mining sectors.
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written.
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Post-secondary education completed.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Ability to manage supplier relationships and monitor performance.
