Mammoet is a global leader in providing solutions for heavy lifting and transportation with an unparalleled fleet of equipment deployed into many sectors such as infrastructure, energy, renewables, and nuclear power. Mammoet's Staffordshire depot is seeking a full-time Mechanic to join our maintenance team where you will be working on a wide range of equipment including cranes, trucks, trailers, plant equipment, and Scheuerle SPMTs.
Ideally, you will have HGV or plant experience and a good understanding of modern diesel engines, hydraulics, air systems, electrics, and diagnostics. You will also be expected to be familiar with roadworthiness standards such as safety inspections and MOT preparation for our HGV fleet, and work to a high standard on all equipment types.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Ensuring the condition of equipment is in line with the applicable standards and instructions
- Performing all-round maintenance and repair services
- Carrying out work to a high quality, including inspection, prevention, renovation, and modification
- Completing new-build projects when required
- Working on different types of mechanical (auxiliary) equipment related to diverse power transmission systems
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Professional level experience in maintenance operations, driver and control, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems
- Basic level experience in rigging operations and equipment
- English, basic proficiency verbal and written
- Safety training and certification to Mammoet standards
- Evidence of experience in a similar role, ideally in any/some of the following sectors: civil engineering, construction, renewables, oil and gas, offshore, ports, and mining
- Relevant work experience
- Secondary education in mechanical engineering or automotive engineering
