SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Engineer for heavylift and transport projects. Salary £34,811 - £50,259, depending on experience with fantastic benefits. Working from the Mammoet office in Thornaby, Teesside with regular work onsite across the UK as required.

Our engineers are critical to this and have the opportunity to apply their experience and skills to a wide variety of different industries, locations and projects. Reporting into the Engineering Team Leader, this is a full time permanent role based from the company offices in Thornaby, Teesside. Regular onsite work across the UK will be required as part of the role.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Engineering: Develop the engineering solution and document through method statements, risk assessments, drawings and calculations. The engineer will validate the use of specialist heavy-lift equipment, develop new equipment where necessary and develop specialist solutions for the most challenging projects.
  • Project Execution: Ensure the engineering plan is followed during the job execution and contribute to operations management on jobsite when required. Where necessary the engineer will form part of the project execution team onsite. This is a unique role where you will have the opportunity to see your engineering from concept to execution.
  • Advising: Formulate and present possible engineering solutions and issue accurate advice at request or at own initiative, taking into account the applicable standards.
  • Document Controlling: Organisation of document control for incoming and outgoing documents and responsibility for ensuring correct authorisations are achieved for submission of documents.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a similar engineering discipline.
  • Previous demonstratable experience working within a similar role.
  • Computer skills including CAD and Microsoft Office.
  • English, fluent proficiency verbal and written and UK right to work without restriction.
  • Full UK driving license essential.
  • Appointed Person qualification desirable.
