About the role:
We’re looking for a commercially minded and hands-on Senior Operations & Logistics Manager to take ownership of MamaOwl’s global logistics and operational processes. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for ensuring products are delivered more efficiently and cost-effectively across all regions and ensure that customers’ expectations are met and managed. This role is focused on execution, continuous improvement, and building scalable processes to support growth. You’ll work closely with teams across Merchandising Buying and Marketing as well as external partners including shipping carriers and inventory management partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ecommerce Operations & Distribution
- Oversee outbound logistics across all ecommerce markets: UK, EU, US & R.O.W., optimising cost, speed, and routing.
- Monitor carrier performance and support resolution of delivery issues; lead carrier negotiations and review performance regularly.
- Work with suppliers on shipping terms (FOB, DDP etc.) to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
- Partner with Production and Merchandising to understand freight and duty impact on margins.
- Always be aware and on top of any tariff and duty changes worldwide and how they may affect the margin and make plans to minimise this.
- Partner with Ecommerce to improve delivery options and customer experience.
- Supplier Inbound Logistics
- Manage inbound freight into warehouse from UK, EU, US & R.O.W., optimising cost, speed, and routing.
- Work with suppliers on shipping terms (FOB, DDP etc.) to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
- Partner with Production and Merchandising to understand freight and duty impact on margins.
- Work with suppliers to ensure stock is delivered in the most cost-effective and timely manner.
- Always be aware and on top of any tariff and duty changes worldwide and how they may affect the margin and make plans to minimise this.
- Warehouse Management
- Oversee day-to-day performance of our on-site warehouse ensuring service levels are met.
- Review and validate all warehouse costs and invoices and manage all partners and invoicing related to warehouse costs.
- Monitor storage, fulfilment, returns processes and additional charges, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Resolve operational issues and hold team members accountable to agreed KPIs.
- Customs & Trade
- Ensure compliant and efficient international shipping processes.
- Work with partners to minimise delays, duties, and errors.
- Improve accuracy of documentation, classification, and shipping data.
- Customer Service Management
- Manage the customer service advisor.
- Offer senior guidance and advice as needed.
- Ensure constant improvement of our customer service advice and make sure the CS advisor has all the relevant knowledge needed from the buying and merchandising teams.
- Have a constant eye on Customer Review platforms making sure MamaOwl is always at the top of the scale.
- Process Improvement & Strategy
- Improve and streamline operational processes to support scaling.
- Introduce best practices across logistics and supply chain.
- Support international expansion by building efficient, repeatable workflows.
ABOUT YOU:
- 5+ years’ experience in logistics or operations, ideally in fashion, retail, or consumer goods.
- Strong negotiation skills – proven in getting the best results.
- Strong understanding of global supply chain and distribution.
- Experience running a warehouse management system.
- Experience managing carrier and warehouse management systems relationships.
- Commercial mindset with a focus on cost and efficiency.
- Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-driven.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing business.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
