Mama Bears Day Nursery is currently recruiting for a Cook to join our friendly setting based in Totterdown, Bristol. Our nursery is a vibrant setting with great transport links being located close to Bristol Temple Meads.

The role involves preparing and cooking fresh breakfasts, home-cooked lunches, and teas for babies and young children to a set menu. As well as preparing food, the role will involve stock management, washing up duties, and maintaining a clean kitchen. Very high levels of cleanliness and hygiene are required, and familiarity with Safer Food Better Business is preferred. A Food Hygiene certificate is essential.

The ideal candidate will have experience of cooking in a similar environment. Awareness of allergies, dietary requirements, and cross-contamination is essential.

The role is part-time, working 25 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, it will be necessary for an enhanced criminal record disclosure to be undertaken. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff and volunteers are required to share this commitment.
