We're proud to have been named in the
Great Places to Work list in 2025-2026.
The Role
We're looking for an amazing Account Executive to join our small, but mighty team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with around a year or two of account executive experience who's looking to build a career with a well-known consumer brand.
You'll take day-to-day ownership of a portfolio of retail accounts, working closely with the Head of Sales and wider commercial team to keep those accounts running smoothly, spot opportunities for growth, and build strong, lasting relationships with our retail partners.
This is an account executive role, not a cold-calling position, you'll be looking after and growing relationships with retailers we already work with, and expanding and building those accounts..
Key Responsibilities
- Own the P&L performance for assigned accounts: revenue, margin, trade spend and forecast accuracy.
- Build and execute annual Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with key retailers (e. g., John Lewis, Mamas & Papas).
- Lead negotiations on terms, ranging, pricing, promotional plans, and distribution to hit sales and profit targets.
- Manage account critical paths: line reviews, seasonal events, NPD launches, and promotional calendars.
- Build cross functional relationships across the account and include the HOD in key commercial reviews and buying manager decisions.
- Growth, Range & Category Execution
- Develop strong range and space strategies for nursery/baby categories (e. g., feeding, sterilising, soothers, baby care).
- Identify growth levers: new listings, planogram gains, exclusive opportunities, bundle strategies, and cross-category expansion.
- Drive availability and in-store standards: right stock, right store, right time; tackle OOS and poor ranging quickly.
- Improve online performance: content accuracy, PDP optimisation, search/merchandising, ratings & reviews, and digital promos.
- Ensure compliance with retailer requirements and brand guidelines across all channels.
- Forecasting, Supply & Operational Excellence
- Produce robust & accurate sales forecasts monthly for the reflex forecasting system, incorporating promo uplift and NPD phasing.
- Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain/Operations to manage OTIF, stock risk, allocations etc.
- Maintain clean administration: pricing files, rebate/trade agreements, NPD forms, and customer portals.
- Trade Marketing & In-Store Activation
- Plan and deliver high-impact activations: POS, displays, demos, sampling, and seasonal programmes where applicable and ensure this delivers a ROI.
- Coordinate internal teams and agencies to deliver campaign assets on time and within budget.
- Track effectiveness of promotions and activations; provide post-event learnings and next steps.
- Oversee and deliver joint marketing campaigns with John Lewis & M&P, managing the media investment and partnering with the e-commerce manager to maximise customer spend and ROI.
- Wholesale & International Partner Support (where applicable)
- Manage UK wholesale accounts: pricing frameworks, volume agreements, terms, and compliant distribution.
- Support select export partners (e. g., Malta) by aligning plans, forecasting, and brand standards.
- Stakeholder Management & Team Contribution
- Build trusted relationships at all levels: buyers, category managers, ecommerce teams, supply, and finance.
- Contribute to wider commercial planning, sharing customer insights and competitor intelligence.
- Represent the brand professionally in meetings, events, and store visits.
What we're looking for
- Around 1β2 years' experience in a sales, CSM or account exec role, account handling, or customer-facing sales support role (retail, FMCG or wholesale experience is a bonus, but not essential).
- A genuine interest in building long-term relationships with our clients
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple accounts and deadlines.
- A confident communicator, equally comfortable liaising with retail buyers and internal teams.
- Good working knowledge of Excel, and comfortable picking up new systems and portals.
- A proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn from more senior members of the commercial team.
- A full UK driving licence, as the role includes a company car and some travel to accounts.
