Part time and permanent positions available at Malvern Wyche C of E Primary School and St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, 12 hours per week at each site. The Wyche and St Joseph’s are seeking to appoint a competent, capable and reliable individual to work as caretaker across both sites. As church schools, it is important to us to appoint someone who will take pride in our premises and ensure they are safe places that allow our pupils and staff to flourish. The successful candidate will also benefit from our welcoming schools and inclusive ethos.
The successful applicant will have experience in repairs, maintenance and premises upkeep, and be able to carry out and log statutory checks (such as fire alarm testing and water temperature logging). A visit to both of our sites is encouraged, by arrangement with the School Offices.
Knowledge & Experience- Essential
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Experience that supports maintenance of an aspect of buildings or premises
- Experience that is transferrable to the role
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant policies/codes of practice – health and safety (e.g. COSHH, Fire safety, etc.)
- Ability to use a range of tools and equipment safely and effectively, ensuring safe handling and storage.
- Desirable
- Experience of working as part of a team.
- Experience of coordinating building projects and premises improvements.
- Full driving licence

- Ability to use own initiative
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with internal and external personnel, contractors and suppliers
