About the role: As a Web Developer with a focus on Quality & Testing, you will play a key role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and usability of Malvern Panalytical’s web platforms. You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests, supporting front-end development activities, and helping to ensure that websites, forms, and integrations consistently meet high quality and usability standards. This is a varied and collaborative role, ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving and working across multiple stages of the web development lifecycle. You’ll contribute to testing, quality assurance, and front-end development, working closely with colleagues to continuously improve the stability and overall user experience of our web solutions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Maintain and extend automated UI test suites for corporate websites, following established standards
- Execute regression testing to support releases, content updates, and ongoing site stability
- Validate web forms, analytics tracking, and third-party integrations that support MQL generation
- Identify, document, and escalate defects, diagnosing root causes where appropriate
- Support release readiness activities, including testing within CI/CD pipelines
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and test coverage
- Extend test coverage across areas such as usability, accessibility, and performance within agreed scope
- Support front-end development tasks as required, using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
About you:
- Education or equivalent practical experience in web development, software testing, or related discipline
- Experience working with web technologies and automated testing tools in a professional or production environment
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to diagnose basic front-end issues
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or similar tools
- Experience maintaining, extending, or contributing to automated test suites
- Strong attention to detail with a structured, methodical approach to testing and validation
- Ability to analyze test results, identify root causes of issues, and suggest practical improvements
- Clear written communication skills, including documenting defects, risks, and testing outcomes, with an understanding of usability and accessibility principles
