About The Role: Are you able to install, repair and maintain our complex market‑leading instrumentation across the UK? Are you looking for a position in which you can be challenged, be part of a winning team and grow your technical abilities and knowledge? In this role you will be responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining our manufactured instruments across the UK, ensuring customer satisfaction is at a high level.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Independently diagnose and resolve customer instrument issues, ensuring accurate and effective service.
  • Deliver operational training to customers, primarily at installation, to ensure safe and efficient use of Malvern Panalytical instruments.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction by meeting service expectations and providing timely documentation, including work orders and mileage reports.
  • Offer remote support via PC and phone, travel extensively as needed, and assist with helpdesk and training activities.
  • Manage company assets responsibly, including spare parts, tools, vehicle, and software, in line with company guidelines.
  • Continuously update product knowledge, use all learning resources, and provide feedback to improve product quality and support sales efforts.

About you:

  • Qualifications in Electronics, Chemistry to HND, or equivalent level.
  • Demonstrable experience of working on customer sites.
  • Proven experience in a customer field service environment advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience of working with X‑Ray based scientific instrumentation is an advantage.
  • Current, full UK driving licence.
  • Required to travel extensively throughout the UK to service instrumentation at customer sites and may require overnight stays.
