About the Role
As the Pricing Lead for Malvern Panalytical, you will own and drive the pricing agenda across a global portfolio of instruments, software, services, consumables, and aftermarket offerings. Reporting into the SVP Pricing, Spectris Group, you will translate pricing strategy into measurable commercial outcomes, improving revenue quality, gross margin, and price realization across the business. Working closely with Sales, Finance, Product Management, Marketing, and regional leadership teams, you will use data-driven insights to influence decision-making, optimise pricing performance, and embed pricing excellence throughout the organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own and deliver the Malvern Panalytical pricing roadmap, aligning business priorities with Spectris Group pricing strategy
- Lead pricing initiatives that improve revenue, gross margin, discount discipline, and price realization across products and services
- Build and maintain robust pricing analytics, dashboards, and performance reporting using ERP, CRM, and commercial data sources
- Design and execute annual and off-cycle price increase programmes, measuring impact and driving continuous improvement
- Develop and strengthen pricing governance, discount controls, deal review processes, and commercial approval frameworks
- Partner with Product Management and Marketing on new product introductions, lifecycle pricing strategies, and value-based pricing initiatives
- Provide pricing and profitability guidance for strategic customer deals, supporting sales teams with negotiation and value-selling approaches
- Champion pricing excellence by coaching stakeholders, driving adoption of best practices, and embedding sustainable pricing processes across the business
About You
- 7+ years' experience in Pricing, Commercial Excellence, Revenue Management, Strategy, Finance, Product Management, or a related commercial discipline
- Proven experience delivering pricing improvements within complex B2B environments, ideally involving engineered products, scientific instruments, industrial technology, or service-based offerings
- Strong analytical expertise with experience in pricing performance, discount governance, margin optimisation, segmentation, and deal economics
- Advanced Excel skills and strong BI capability; experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, Salesforce, SAP, or similar tools is advantageous
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive action across Sales, Finance, Product Management, and Executive Leadership teams
- Strong commercial judgement with the ability to balance customer value, competitiveness, growth, and profitability objectives
- Excellent communication and change management skills, with a track record of embedding new processes and ways of working
- Experience within analytical instrumentation, life sciences tools, precision measurement, diagnostics, or related sectors would be beneficial
