About the role: Are you passionate about applying your scientific expertise to drive commercial success? We are seeking an Account Manager to represent Malvern Panalytical’s full portfolio across all market segments in the Northwest region. In this role, you will take ownership of a defined territory, driving sustainable growth by identifying new business opportunities while nurturing and expanding existing customer partnerships. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will leverage your technical knowledge and commercial acumen to deliver consultative, value-driven solutions. By aligning our industry-leading technologies with customer needs, you will play a key role in helping clients achieve their scientific and operational goals.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Deliver against revenue targets and drive strong financial performance across your territory
  • Build and maintain strategic, long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders
  • Identify, qualify, and progress new business opportunities, managing them effectively through the sales pipeline
  • Engage customers in meaningful dialogue to understand their challenges and position tailored, value-driven solutions
  • Partner closely with the Field Applications Team to deliver compelling technical demonstrations and support the sales process
  • Represent Malvern Panalytical at conferences, exhibitions, and industry events, enhancing brand presence and generating leads
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and ensure CRM data is up to date to support effective business planning
  • Champion customer satisfaction by acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring a high-quality customer experience throughout the lifecycle

About you:

  • Demonstrated success in B2B sales
  • Experience selling capital equipment (CAPEX), particularly analytical instrumentation, is highly advantageous
  • Proven ability to work with and manage distributor or channel partner networks is desirable
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at multiple stakeholder levels
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, with experience using Salesforce preferred
  • Solid understanding of academic, industrial, and molecular biology market landscapes
  • Commercial awareness, with the ability to confidently navigate financial and contractual discussions
  • Full UK driving license, with willingness to travel 50% as required
