Are you an organised, proactive leader with a passion for delivering exceptional student experiences? Language in Action is looking for a Summer Operations Manager to join our dynamic team from May to the end of August 2026, with the potential for a full-time position from September onwards (subject to performance).
About the Role
This exciting hybrid position combines remote operational management with residential centre leadership in London. You’ll oversee planning, logistics, and delivery for our Garden Hall Summer Programme, working collaboratively across our Language in Action and Innovate Summer Academy programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate pre-summer operational planning remotely, ensuring smooth delivery of all summer programmes.
- Lead on-site operations as Centre Manager for our residential London programme (Garden Hall).
- Supervise staff teams, manage schedules, and ensure outstanding student welfare and satisfaction.
- Monitor health & safety, compliance, and quality standards across all activities.
- Liaise with Head Office and partner teams to ensure alignment between Language in Action and Innovate Summer Academy operations.
- Contribute fresh ideas for programme enhancement and efficiency improvements.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in operations or centre management, ideally in summer schools or education.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Confidence working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Availability to work remotely from May, then residentially in London from late June until August.

Dates: May – August 2026 (with potential to continue full-time from 1 September 2026, based on performance).
Location: Remote (May–June), London-based residential (June–August).
