We are now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Care Assistant at Aldridge Care Home in the West Midlands. If this sounds like the place for you, we would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:- Deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
- Assist residents in all their personal hygiene care, ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
- Recognise and understand clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, signs of infections and escalate any identified risks in a timely manner.
- Act courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
- Practice safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
- Live the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that you do.
- Experience is not required as we offer a thorough induction and training programme to ensure confidence within the role.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards residents and other people in the home.
- Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
- Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
