As Associate BIM Manager you will be responsible for delivering the team's technology strategy stack in terms of BIM delivery and promoting digital ways of working, supporting delivery teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery of project information models. In addition, this role includes responsibility for line management, supporting work-winning activities, and creating marketing collateral to increase the group's visibility and reach in the market.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with BIM standards and contractual obligations, supporting delivery teams.
- Manage onboarding, training, and digital solution mobilisation, ensuring efficient information delivery.
- Oversee task teams, monitor progress, and address any delays promptly.
- Compile lessons learned and identify training needs for information management.
- Act as an intermediary between stakeholders for efficient project execution.
- Drive Information Execution Plans and conduct supply chain assessments.
- Provide strategic IM direction, produce reports, and lead digital implementation.
- Support team development and raise the BIM profile across the organisation.
- Understand and implement local and international BIM standards and regulations.
- Maintain quality assurance processes for BIM deliverables.
- Commit to continuous improvement and stay updated with the latest digital technologies and practices.
- Engage in R&D to enhance BIM processes and tools.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive digital tasks using Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar low-code tools to enhance team efficiency and data reliability.
- Develop simple applications or workflow automations that improve project setup, data capture, approvals, or reporting.
Line Management & Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of BIM and Information Management specialists, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and support personal development plans.
- Oversee resource planning and team utilisation to ensure effective project delivery.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new digital team members.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance team culture.
Work Winning & Business Development
- Contribute to work-winning activities, including writing BIM/IM methodology for bids and attending client interviews or presentations.
- Support bid teams by providing technical input, programme advice, and resource/fee estimates.
- Develop digital strategies and value propositions that strengthen AECOM's competitive advantage.
- Build strong relationships with clients and partners to expand opportunities for the group.
- Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities related to digital services.
Marketing Collateral & Market Reach
- Lead the creation of BIM/IM case studies, capability statements, and project showcases that highlight the group's strengths.
- Work with marketing and leadership teams to develop thought leadership content, presentations, and promotional material.
- Support internal and external knowledge-sharing events, including conferences, webinars, and industry forums.
- Maintain a library of reusable content demonstrating the group's digital expertise.
- Promote successful project outcomes through LinkedIn and other industry channels to increase visibility and brand presence.
