South Worcestershire Building Control Partnership Senior Building Control Surveyor £45,091 - £49,282 per annum plus £4,000 Market Forces Supplement South Worcester Building Control Partnership brings together the Building Control services of Malvern Hills District Council, Worcester City Council and Wychavon District Council into one Partnership, sharing resources and expertise to provide a modern, flexible and customer focused local authority Building Control Service.
As a senior member of the team, you will maintain your own caseload of applications for Building Regulations approval including some complex and challenging projects within your registration class.
You will also, where required, assist supervising Class 1 RBI’s and provide support to the Head of Building Control.
You will manage relationships between the Council and developers on a range of development proposals, providing an efficient and effective building control service and representing the service on a wide range of new and exciting projects.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated with aspirations to develop the service further.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to demonstrate enthusiasm and a strong track record in team leadership.
You will be required to liaise with members of the public or their agents, so you will need to be comfortable working away from the office and be confident when dealing with customers.
