We currently have a vacancy in the team for a Civil Enforcement Officer /p p strong Duties of a Civil Enforcement Officer /strong : /p ul li Issuing penalty charge notices to vehicles parked in contravention of the Traffic Regulation Orders for On-Street locations in the Wychavon district and in the Off-Street car parks. /li li Work is completed mainly on foot and will involve moving between sites. /li li Patrolling the local areas to maintain good traffic flow. /li li Undertake ticket machine checks and assist people in the community to use our facilities. /li li Make a difference to the way people can use and access parking spaces. /li li Work flexibly on a rota basis, covering a variety of shifts including weekend and bank holiday working. /li /ul p strong u About you /u /strong /p p The successful candidate will: /p ul li Have a good standard of education with qualifications in English and Mathematics. /li li Be highly motivated with good interpersonal skills and be able to handle sensitive (and sometimes confrontational) situations confidently and calmly in a professional manner. /li li Have good communication skills and an ability to work on your own initiative. /li li Be able to travel and patrol around the district and outlying villages is essential, and you will need to have access to and use of a vehicle to carry out these patrols (business use insurance for your vehicle will be required). /li li Be working outside alone in all weathers and walking for long periods, (seven or more hours per day). /li li Need to be able to work on a rota basis and cover a variety of shifts including weekends. /li li Be able to undertake other duties as required and provide support to other local areas when needed. /li li Have experience in a similar role or in customer service, retail and hospitality. /li /ul p strong u What we can offer /u /strong /p p Our staff are at the heart of what we do and are key to ensuring we deliver our strong We are Wychavon /strong District Council plan (attached) to make a positive difference to our communities, our economy and our environment.
