Salary: 26,403 - 28,142 per annum (Pay Award Pending)

37 hours per week - Permanent

South Worcester Building Control Partnership brings together the Building Control services of Malvern Hills District Council, Worcester City Council and Wychavon District Council into one Partnership, sharing resources of expertise to provide a modern, flexible and customer focused Building Control Service. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled administrator to join a professional team with the reputation for delivering a high-quality service across South Worcestershire.

In this role you will provide excellent customer service dealing with telephone enquiries and emails, offering technical advice and guidance on building control matters. Being able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders including Building Control Surveyors, customers and external agents is therefore essential. You will also act as an administrator to the team of Building Control Surveyors and you will keep accurate records of incoming building regulation applications, registering them on the system, and issue certificates of completion and notices when required.

About you

  • Be a team player with ability to work on own initiative.
  • Be computer literate and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Well organised and ability to handle a variety of tasks at any time.
  • Ability to positively respond to change and seek new and improved ways of working.
  • Be customer focussed.
  • Ideally have experience working within Building Control or Planning.
