We have a great opportunity available for a salaried GP to join our Practice in Malvern, Worcestershire. We are a friendly innovative practice consisting of 4 partner GPs and 4 salaried GPs and an ACP. We have a list size of just under 13,000 patients.
We are looking for a salaried GP to work 6/8 sessions per week with us.
Main duties of the job:- We utilise a total triage model, so the right patients are seen by the right clinician at the right time.
- Admin including referrals, correspondence, lab results, and document processing.
- Our salaried GPs assist with both triage and duty clinics as well as holding prebooked clinics.
- Attendance at practice meetings and training as and when appropriate.
- Insurance reports and other non-GMS work for patients as required.
- Mandatory training.

- In accordance with the Practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
- Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation.
- Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
- Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
- In consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health.
- Providing counselling and health education.
- Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
- Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions.
- Prescribing in accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate.
- In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
- Full GMC registration, licence to practise; on the GP Register (CCT/MRCGP or equivalent).
- Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List (or eligible) with no conditions that preclude independent practice.
- Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
- This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
