Thank you very much for your interest in the position of Graduate Assistant at The Downs Malvern. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-looking team early in a new chapter for the Malvern College Family of Schools, building on an inspiring 157-year history. The Downs Malvern is a leading independent co-educational day and boarding school for around 170 pupils aged 6 months -13 years.

We are looking to appoint to the role of Temporary Graduate Assistant, who will be responsible for leading and assisting with the supervision of pupils from Nursery through to Year 8. This is a chance to be part of a high calibre team in a culture that emphasises the development of people. You will also work with Teachers within the Common Room by both assisting in and covering lessons across the curriculum during times of staff absence.

The role is ideal for a recent graduate who is considering a career in teaching. There are opportunities to be involved in the coaching of sports, supporting teaching and learning as well as playing an active part in a thriving and friendly boarding community. Accommodation and food are provided free of charge and there are additional benefits such as subsidised membership of Malvern Active Gym and Swimming facilities.

This is a term time, temporary full-time role until July 2026.
