Maltin PR is seeking a highly ambitious individual to join its Reputation Management team, with a focus on pitching stories to journalists at high-profile national and international publications and broadcasters, specifically in the United States. The role is open to both graduates and those with existing PR experience. Interpersonal skills, specifically confidence and ability to pitch for media opportunities over the phone, are critical. The role has a highly competitive salary in excess of that offered at similar firms, together with performance-based bonuses and the ability to fast-track progression through to senior positions.

The ideal applicant will have:

  • An excellent work ethic and ability to handle high-pressure, time-sensitive situations with a cool head.
  • A problem-solving attitude and will be willing and able to suggest potential remedies for problems as they arise.
  • Accountability and the confidence to take ownership of tasks.
  • Strong personal skills and excellent phone demeanour, confidence and persuasiveness. Previous experience demonstrating these skills, including experience in sales, is preferred.
  • The ability to quickly break down tasks and understand key objectives.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to write professionally in a client-ready manner.
  • Painstaking attention to detail and good organisation.
  • Ability to work closely with other members of the team. The role will involve working closely with the Firm's graphic design team to develop client-ready video and print materials.
  • The ambition to want to raise their position in the company and commensurate compensation.

The individual will join Maltin PR's rapidly expanding Reputation Management team, acting for Ultra-High-Net-Worth individuals. Successful applicants will work on high-profile matters from day one, with rapid progression based solely on performance, rather than duration of employment at the Firm. The Firm's Reputation Management team is a high-pressure environment and works on urgent cases which sometimes result in overtime being required. Deadlines are nearly always same-day. The ideal individual will ensure work is completed to a high standard and assist the rest of the team with any outstanding tasks before leaving each day. Individuals who are unwilling to go the extra mile, including staying after hours on occasion, to assist the rest of the team or during an urgent situation need not apply.

Successful candidates who perform strongly will be given the opportunity to rotate out to Maltin PR's California office in Santa Barbara, based on their performance. Maltin PR is an award-winning and internationally recognised PR firm specialising in Legal PR, Litigation PR, Litigation Support, and Reputation Management. The Firm has a fast-paced, dynamic culture, with a strong team ethos. Given the Firm's rapid expansion, there is significant scope for rapid progression to managerial roles.
