Overview
In this leadership role, you will steer Malt’s Enterprise & FMS engineering organization across multiple hubs to become the global system of record for enterprise freelance workforces. You’ll partner with Product and Design to translate strategy into a scalable platform and a high-performing team. You’ll drive API-first integrations, compliance-by-design, and AI-driven improvements while engaging with executive stakeholders. This is a mission-critical, growth-focused opportunity to shape enterprise-grade software at scale.

Responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing Enterprise engineering organization, mentoring Engineering Managers and Staff Engineers
- Co-own the Enterprise & FMS vision with Product and Design to accelerate deployment and adoption
- Architect and scale an API-first integrations platform connecting procurement, P2P, VMS, ERP, and HRIS systems; explore A2A/MCP
- Embed compliance by design across markets, including worker classification safeguards and secure vaults
- Represent engineering in client discussions, security reviews, and enterprise-level sales conversations
- Modernize back-office tooling and workflows using AI/automation to reduce cost-to-serve
- Promote engineering excellence with reliability, security, and AI-native culture
Key requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering leadership in Enterprise B2B SaaS
- Proven track record managing Engineering Managers and Staff Engineers at scale
- Product and commercial acumen focused on customer and business outcomes
- Experience leading distributed, multi-hub teams
- Native English proficiency for executive-level discourse and RFPs
- Strong architectural judgment in multi-tenancy and API integration; compliance-driven design
- Experience guiding AI transformation and exploratory bets across distributed hubs
