Malted builds specialised customer interaction intelligence for financial institutions. Our platform combines advanced language technology with deep domain understanding to help firms make faster, more accurate decisions. Our proprietary technology, purpose built for financial services, uncovers signals that generic AI misses, and we work hand in hand with our clients to turn that into decisions and impact. We’re a small, passionate and highly technical team based in Edinburgh, combining deep machine learning experience with a rigorous approach to product design, delivery and client outcomes.

What you’ll do

We are looking for a client facing professional to partner with our Financial Services clients and help them translate the insights surfaced by the Malted Platform into meaningful operational and commercial outcomes. Malted generates powerful insights into client conversations and operational performance. However, real value comes when organisations interpret those insights correctly, prioritise the right opportunities, and drive change across their business. This role exists to bridge the gap between data, product insight, and real world operational change — and it's an opportunity to build deep expertise in financial services operations and AI-driven insight delivery from the ground up, working closely alongside the Senior Forward Deployed team members. This role sits at the intersection of data analysis, client partnership, and operational improvement. You will work closely with client stakeholders to help them understand the signals and patterns emerging from the Malted Platform, support prioritisation discussions, and help embed changes that deliver measurable ROI.

In practice, this means being a hands on partner to the client, helping them interrogate insights, translate them into actions, and see those actions through into day-to-day operations. You'll be well supported by the team as you build your understanding of financial services and enterprise client work. You'll bring strong communication and relationship building skills, sharp analytical thinking, curiosity about financial services operations, and enough technical comfort to engage confidently in conversations around AI-driven insights, data workflows, and platform deployment. Prior Financial Services experience is desirable but most importantly we are looking for people who are fast learners, detail oriented, and genuinely interested in how data translates into real business change.

A Forward Deployed Manager at Malted works closely with clients throughout the lifecycle of Malted Platform deployments, from pilot design and onboarding through to operational rollout and value realisation.

Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement & Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with client stakeholders across Financial Services client organisations. Act as a trusted partner to clients adopting the Malted Platform. Own day-to-day client engagement and delivery for Malted Platform deployments, with support from senior Malted colleagues where needed. Support clients in interpreting the insights surfaced by the Malted Platform and understanding their implications for operations and customer outcomes. Facilitate discussions and working sessions to help stakeholders align around priorities and actions.
  • Insight Translation & Prioritisation: Translate Malted Platform outputs into clear, actionable recommendations for clients. Help clients identify the most impactful operational, process, or behavioural changes. Support clients in navigating internal prioritisation and planning processes to ensure Malted Platform insights translate into practical initiatives. Support prioritisation of initiatives that will deliver the greatest value.
  • Driving Operational Change and Value Realisation: Work with client teams to turn insights into actionable improvement plans. Support the implementation of changes within operational processes and teams, ensuring integrity against Malted Platform insights and value creation. Track progress and help ensure initiatives translate into measurable outcomes and ROI. Act as an objective partner to help clients maintain focus on initiatives that drive meaningful operational improvement.
  • Pilot Delivery, Onboarding & Deployment: Support end-to-end Malted Platform pilot engagements with enterprise clients, with opportunities to take on more ownership as you grow. Coordinate onboarding activities including procurement processes, InfoSec reviews, and internal stakeholder alignment. Work with clients to define data requirements, scope, channels, and relevant metadata for Malted Platform deployments. Collaborate with product and technical teams to map client requirements into effective Malted Platform implementations. Support pilot-to-production rollouts, including training, stakeholder enablement, and operational adoption.
  • Product & Technical Collaboration: Maintain a strong understanding of the Malted Platform's capabilities and evolving functionality, and relevant use cases. Engage confidently in conversations around AI, language models, data interpretation, and platform integration. Work with internal product and commercial teams to ensure client feedback informs product development.

Experience

  • 2-4 years of experience in roles such as technology, enterprise, management or operations consulting, software implementation, client delivery, or another client-facing/analytical role.
  • Experience working with clients or stakeholders in a professional setting.
  • Exposure to (or experience) supporting technology deployment, operational change, or transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to translate data, analysis, or product insights into clear, practical recommendations.

We recognise strong candidates may come from different backgrounds. We're especially excited about people with experience in:

  • Financial Services — exposure to FS operations, customer journeys, or performance drivers, e.g. as a consultant, analyst, or in an operations/change role.
  • Technology / AI / data — experience supporting enterprise technology initiatives such as software deployments, data platforms, analytics, or AI-driven products.

Candidates who bring a bit of both are a great fit — for example, someone who's spent 2-4 years as a consultant or analyst on technology-adjacent projects within or alongside Financial Services clients.

Skills

  • Client Engagement: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to build trusted relationships with client stakeholders.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to interpret complex insights and translate them into clear actions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Technical Literacy: Interest in AI, data-driven platforms, and emerging technologies. Comfortable discussing technology concepts with clients (deep technical expertise not required). Ability to work effectively with product and technical teams during deployments.

Personal attributes:

  • Naturally curious and analytical.
  • Adaptable and comfortable operating in ambiguous environments.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for client outcomes.
  • Collaborative and proactive.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment.
