We are seeking an exceptional candidate for a Fixed Term salaried GP position (6 sessions). The standard working pattern is proposed to be Wednesday to Friday. You will join Laurel Bank Surgery at a very exciting time as we have just merged with the Village Surgeries Group on 1st April.

Our workforce will comprise 4 GP Partners, 1 Managing Partner, 10 Salaried GPs, 2 ANPs, 6 Nurses, 1 Clinical Pharmacist, 1 Pharmacy Technician, 5 HCAs, and a whole management and administration team, including dispensers. In total, we will have 75 employees.

We are looking for a salaried GP who is excited and motivated by our ambitions to develop new models of care, as leaders in our integrated neighbourhood. We are proud of our continuity of care, and GPs manage their own list of patients. This role will be required to work across all 3 practice sites (Malpas, Tattenhall and Farndon).

What we are offering:

  • Minor Ops, sexual health including LARCs, phlebotomy, and minor injury services.
  • Supportive environment including regular Practice meetings and CPD.
  • Special interests are encouraged and supported.

Main duties of the job:

  • To assist with an interesting clinical caseload of an established list of patients.
  • Deal with a wide range of health needs, maintaining our quality standards.
  • To work with the Partners and Staff to continue to develop the practice in response to the ever-changing face of primary care, maintaining high standards and traditional practice.
  • To work for 6 clinical sessions (proposed Monday to Wednesday), core hours are 8am to 6.30pm.
  • Take a fair share of home visits when in Surgery (we don’t have many).
  • To participate in the On Call rota on a shared basis.

Effective 1st April 2026, we will have our Main Site (Malpas) and two branches (Tattenhall and Farndon). We are based in rural, southwest Cheshire on the boundaries of Shropshire and Wales, within 30 minutes commute of Chester, Shrewsbury and Nantwich, and offering excellent schools and amenities.
