We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our properties in Newport, Middletown, and Portsmouth, RI. You will join a team of maintenance professionals whose responsibilities include:

  • Performing in-unit repairs, preventative maintenance, and preparing apartments for new resident occupancy.
  • Completing work orders, including light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work, appliance repair, and general building maintenance.
  • Providing access to and supervising contractors as needed.
  • Performing groundskeeping and maintenance of exterior and common areas.
  • Updating the Yardi mobile app and keeping the Maintenance Superintendent and Property Manager informed of work order status.

The work hours are 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday, with on-call duties shared on rotation.

Your Qualifications:

  • We are looking for a team player with excellent communication skills and a strong customer service philosophy.
  • Knowledge of general apartment repair, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work is required.
  • The ability to work as part of a supportive and cohesive team, as well as independently, is required.
  • Experience with Yardi or other work order systems is a plus.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.
