A rare opportunity has come up to join the marketing team of one of Scotland's leading hospitality groups and to promote a brand new venue opening in Dundee. Malones Dundee is a brand new Irish pub coming to Dundee in Autumn 2026. Brought to you by Irish publicans, Malones bars are known for electric atmosphere, unbeatable sports programming and one of the best pints of Guinness in the country.

We're looking for someone to capture exciting moments in the pub and edit them into engaging social media clips that capture attention and drive business. Your job will be two-fold: creating and editing content to fulfil a content calendar that you’ll manage with support from our Senior Marketing Manager, and capturing rich, live content that happens in the pub including sports, live music & events. This role is perfect for a student or graduate with a related degree, a hospitality worker who has experience promoting their venue, a content creator who is looking for consistent work, or anyone who is interested in creative marketing work.

Overview

  • Venue: Malones Dundee, Ground Floor Chamber Building, Panmure Street, Dundee, DD1 1EP. This is an on-site role.
  • Hours: 20 hours per week, rota'd - includes weeknights and weekends to capture content, with option to get more hours during peak season. We are happy to agree a 16-hour week if it is preferred.
  • Rate of pay: £13.50 per hour
  • Reporting to: Senior Marketing Manager, with day-to-day support from General Manager.

What you’ll be doing

  • Capturing content on site - vertical video and photography on your phone, in a busy, loud pub. Sports fixtures, live events, tastings, big weekends and ordinary trading nights.
  • Posting across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok - editing and publishing directly, adapting the same moment to suit each platform.
  • Building the content calendar - planned monthly with our Senior Marketing Manager, then delivered by you.
  • Promoting our events - whisky tastings, sports fixtures, seasonal events and more. You'll own how these are promoted and be part of making sure they sell – and we’re open to bringing any ideas you have to life.
  • Responding to messages and comments - keeping our DMs and comments answered, in our voice, and passing anything that needs a manager's eye straight to the team.
  • Supportive graphic design - event posters, website graphics and story assets in Canva.
  • Ad hoc marketing tasks to support the venue and the wider team.

You can:

  • Shoot and edit vertical video on a phone, quickly and to a good standard.
  • Confidently approach people - asking a table of strangers if you can film them and encouraging staff members to get involved.
  • Get in front of the camera.
  • Understand the difference between Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, and not just post the same thing three times.
  • Write in a brand voice that sounds like a person, not AI.
  • Be reliable on a rota and comfortable with evening and weekend work.
  • Be 18 or over.
  • Have design experience with Canva or similar tools.
  • Have hospitality experience, or at least an understanding of how a busy pub runs.
  • Have any experience promoting a business, brand or personality. Personal accounts absolutely count.

Hours and working pattern

20 hours a week, on a rota. We will agree 1 set weekday per week (8 hours) for you to meet with the team, plan content, edit, schedule, and film any staged content. Your other hours will then be rota’d on for peak times to capture exciting live content. There's flexibility in how the hours are arranged around that, and we'll work with you on it - but if you're only after weekday daytimes, this isn't the one.

What we offer

  • £13.50 per hour
  • A fun role with creative freedom - you'll be trusted to post, not micromanaged.
  • Support and mentoring from an experienced Senior Marketing Manager; you’ll get real, practical experience and be able to develop your own style through this role.
