Role Description

The Business Development Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, and expanding Malmo International’s presence in the building products market. Day-to-day activities include prospecting and qualifying leads, developing sales strategies, preparing and delivering presentations, and negotiating contracts. The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with internal teams to align product offerings with client needs, track market trends, and provide feedback to support product development and marketing initiatives. The role also involves managing a sales pipeline, meeting revenue targets, and maintaining accurate reporting and documentation in line with company standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within building products, construction, or related sectors.
  • Strong skills in relationship building, client communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop strategic plans to drive growth.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, sales reporting, and basic data analysis to manage pipelines and performance metrics.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.
  • Comfortable giving presentations and collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, product, and marketing).
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree (e.g., Business, Marketing, Construction Management) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Prior experience in international sourcing, distribution, or supply chain management is an advantage.
