A historic station hotel boasting the distinction of being the world's oldest, built back in 1844. Reading is a town and borough in Berkshire, located in the Thames Valley at the confluence of the Rivers Thames and Kennet. The Great Western mainline railway and the M4 motorway serve the town. Reading is 40 miles west of London and a major commercial centre, especially for information technology and insurance. Role: Cluster Assistant Meeting & Events Manager

Salary: £40k OTE including tronc

Hours: 45 hours

Contract: Permanent position

Location: Malmaison Reading & Hotel du Vin Henley on Thames

A fantastic opportunity to help maximise revenue across the Malmaison Reading & Hotel Du Vin Henley on Thames properties.

Responsibilities:

  • Maximise revenue by driving Meeting Room occupancy and ensuring that all bookings are in the joint interest of the hotels.
  • Ensure spaces sold are suitable for the opportunity and aligned with the business needs.
  • Report into the Meeting and Events Manager and the General Managers of the hotels.
  • Work with the Central Sales Office to support the conversion of inquiries.
  • Develop relationships with guests and the management teams across both properties to ensure smooth running of all meetings and events.
  • Spread time across two properties and juggle events.
