About The Role
Malmaison is looking for a leader who understands that running a successful business isn’t just about exceeding brand standards or having a strong P&L. We want someone who will look after the team and, by developing them, deliver the expectation of celebrity service. Malmaison York is looking for a Hotel Manager who will report into the General Manager and be responsible for running Malmaison York on a day-to-day basis. You will be an experienced Operations Manager or Deputy General Manager looking for an opportunity to step up and keen to join a brand that will give you the opportunity to shine. In this role you’re a real organiser, who loves leading and motivating your team. You will be driving the brand strategy in all elements of the business and set Malmaison apart from the competition as a preferred employer and destination to stay, eat and drink. You will know the market and understand how to maximise revenue within the business by looking at the bigger picture, managing the detail through your department managers and team will be second nature and leading from the front to set the example is something you are no stranger to. Ideally you will have had previous experience in managing large teams and you will have a sound knowledge of food and drink in a similar sized property; however this isn’t a deal breaker.
Responsibilities include leading and motivating the team, driving brand strategy, and managing operations to deliver high standards of service.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience as an Operations Manager or Deputy General Manager in a large, multi-outlet property preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and commercial acumen.
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations and revenue management.
