The biggest and most exciting venue to come to the city of York this year is looking for a passionate Floor Manager to join the team. Sora Sky Bar is a stunning one of a kind bar and restaurant offering the best Asian Fusion tapa & Cocktail Experience and is located on the 7th floor of the Malmaison Hotel. With views overlooking the Historic Minster and onto the city beyond, this really is a workplace to be proud of.
We offer our guests an experience like no other, which means you need to be trained like no other. We offer an interactive induction program with a hybrid of online and in-person training which leads into your departmental training and offers apprenticeships and further career development if desired. We have partnered with House of Suntory to create a unique cocktail list and scoured the planet looking for wines which will enhance the dining experience.
Although Floor Manager in title, this will require someone who isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up when required and lead from the front. The volume and pace mean it’s not for the faint-hearted - you will have to be able to demonstrate you have delivered volume on your CV. You will be a natural when it comes to delivering the ultimate guest experience. Given the high volumes, we have a large team that needs looking after, so you will have great people skills, natural charisma and the ability to manage individuals as well as a team.
At this stage of your career, you probably won’t have a proven track record of financial management, stock and wages control, but don’t worry we have, and in time you’ll learn all our tips and tricks.
