Deputy General Manager, Malmaison, York

Malmaison is seeking a future leader who understands that running a successful business involves more than exceeding brand standards or managing P&L; it’s about nurturing the team to deliver exceptional service.

Ideally, you will be within 18 months of running your own hotel and eager to join a brand that offers you the platform to excel. Our current General Managers have been promoted from Deputy General Manager roles.

This role requires a natural organizer who loves leading and motivating teams. You will drive the brand strategy across all business elements, setting Malmaison apart as a preferred employer and destination for stay, dine, and drink experiences.

As Deputy General Manager in York, you should have local market knowledge and the ability to maximize revenue by managing details through your department managers and team. Leading by example and effective communication are essential. A good understanding of Health & Safety is required, with attention to detail being critical at Malmaison.

Previous experience managing large teams and knowledge of food and drink in a similar-sized property is preferred but not mandatory.
